February 2017

Principal's Message Principals Message

Happy February!

Please like us on FACEBOOK. We are now on FACEBOOK and will be posting celebrations of awesome things happening in our building, pictures of our students, and important information for parents and guardians.

W.E.B - Where Everybody Belongs! We are bringing W.E.B. to our building this year. W.E.B is a program where 8th grade students mentor 6th grade students in order to ease the transition from 5th to 6th grade. Four teachers will be attending the state training next week and will then be looking for our very first group of mentors!!!

Cell Phones- It is our preference that cell phones remain at home. If they are at school, it is best that they remain turned off or in the student locker during instruction. Please remind your students that cell phones may only be used during lunch to check grades, listen to music, play games, or  to read e-books. Phones may not be used for picture taking (as phones with cameras are prohibited per the handbook) or any form of social media. Students are personally and solely responsible for the security of their cell phone. School shall assume no responsibility for theft, loss, or damage of a cell phone.  We have land lines available for student use in case of an emergency.

Important Dates:

February 8th at 7:15 am- Parent Meeting- Internet and Phone Safety presentation / Cell Phone Policy Discussion
February 15 and 16th- Parent Teacher Conferences 4-7:00 p.m.
